Do I buy directly from Catalyst?

No, we use an integrated distribution system of exclusive Authorized Dealers who represent Catalyst in a specific market for all aspects of service —  showcasing, estimating, delivery, installation and warranty of our products.

How can I shop for Catalyst?

Visit a Catalyst Authorized Dealer, arrange for a free estimate in your home or visit Fence Center, our Authorized Online Dealer for internet sales.

Will a quality fence such as a Catalyst system cost more?

There are many different factors to consider when reviewing “cost” of a fence. There are “retail DIY” products and there are professional grade products. There is a significant difference, not necessarily in quality but in construction and design. As a reminder, the cost for installation is usually the same whether a fence panel costs $30 or $200, so take your time to select the best value. (In some cases, installers need to charge more to install the cheaper fences). With the Catalyst series selection, we are confident you can find the balance between cost and value.

Where are Catalyst products made?

Catalyst products are made and assembled in several facilities around the country. Our main plants are in Tennessee, Delaware, Utah, Florida, Michigan and New Jersey. In addition, some Authorized Catalyst Dealers will fabricate specific jobs (to order) from our raw materials and to our specifications.

Are Catalyst products available at a big box home improvement stores?

No, Catalyst fence systems are only available from Authorized Dealers. However, in some areas, Catalyst Dealers represent The Home Depot as a service provider for the company’s “Sell, Furnish and Install” fencing program, in which case our products are available to you.

Why do you offer a good, better, best option?

Because the greatest cost differentiators are in the basic product engineering which can be modified without compromising the quality and performance of the fence. This way you have several choices to get the style you want and don’t have to settle for a product that will rot or rust.

Can I really install an Catalyst system myself?

Absolutely, but be realistic — it is all about the digging. Digging conditions vary and could make or break the experience. Some fence styles require very small holes, while others need to be larger. And of course the more fence you need, the more holes you’ll have to dig. Once the holes are in place, the assembly process of the fence system is not complicated and in most cases is very logical.

What should I ask for before I invest in a fence?

What is the warranty? Who is the manufacturer and how long have they been in business? What is the manufacturer’s track record? Is the fence made in the US?

What is the fencing made of?

Catalyst vinyl fencing is made from co-extruded polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and our aluminum fencing is made from extruded aluminum with a powder coated finish. All Catalyst products are extensively engineered and have our exclusive ingenuities built right in, which guarantees you’re getting the right fence for your life.

Do you have to put all the posts in concrete?

Yes. However, in some cases the exact amount and process for the concrete will vary depending on conditions. The contractor who is installing your fence will know the right approach for your specific conditions.
