What is the fencing made of?
Catalyst vinyl fencing is made from co-extruded polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and our aluminum fencing is made from extruded aluminum with a powder coated finish. All Catalyst products are extensively engineered and have our exclusive ingenuities built right in, which guarantees you’re getting the right fence for your life.
Will Catalyst Systems follow a curve?
Yes, all styles will curve to some extent by “aiming” the panel toward the intended direction. You will need to be the judge of how far fence panels will curve without compromising the overall aesthetic.
Can I install Catalyst Systems on decks and patios or attach to columns?
Yes, however, there are additional parts and steps needed to do this. We suggest you consult with your Catalyst Dealer, or call us at 888-549-7350 for assistance.
How much will an Catalyst fence actually increase my property value?
Like most outdoor improvements, it’s hard to put an amount on the value a fence will add. However, it will certainly add to the curb appeal and ultimately the salability of your property. On the flip side, a low quality, weathered or poorly installed fence may detract from the value of your home.
Can I put a gate operator on my Catalyst fence?
Yes, all styles can support a remote gate operator with slight modification in some cases.
My property isn’t flat. Will your fencing leave big gaps under each panel?
No, the majority of Catalyst vinyl and aluminum fence systems are engineered to be rackable — meaning they can adjust to follow the natural slope of your yard.
Can I clean my Catalyst fence?
Yes, for regular cleaning both vinyl and aluminum fencing can be rinsed off with a garden hose and cleaned using a mild dish soap and water solution. Your Catalyst Dealer can provide you with additional cleaning tips for heavier stains along with annual maintenance tips to help maximize the life of your fence.
Will your fencing meet local pool codes?
We offer several styles and sizes of vinyl and aluminum fencing that are pool code approved at the national level. Keep in mind that nearly all vinyl privacy fencing meets pool code standards, although there are some exceptions. Codes vary by state and also by locality. Be sure to always check your local codes and discuss any requirements with your Catalyst Dealer.
Does Catalyst have a transferable warranty?

Catalyst products are manufactured by Barrette Outdoor Living — a stable, long-term organization with an excellent customer service track record.
Do you have to put all the posts in concrete?
Yes. However, in some cases the exact amount and process for the concrete will vary depending on conditions. The contractor who is installing your fence will know the right approach for your specific conditions.
